I am a fifth-year Social Psychology PhD student at University at Buffalo, SUNY. My research merges classic social psychological theory to the study of diversity efforts and allyship behaviors. Employing varied methodologies (e.g., immersive storyboards, video-based interventions), I examine how perceived sociopolitical context (e.g., laws, attitudes) informs expectations of identity-based treatment. Further, across marginalized and advantaged perceivers, I examine what constitutes desirable forms of allyship, from prejudice-confrontations to acts of solidarity. This research has been supported by the Society for Personality and Social Psychology, the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues, and the International Society for Self and Identity.
